Overview
The symposium will feature lectures by distinguished speakers providing participants with the latest developments and innovations in the field, in addition to highlights on the current status from resource limited settings. In addition, the panel discussions involving different speakers will allow a more meaningful discussion and facilitate the exchange of knowledge for the best treatment options available and ways to improve cure and survivorship. The Program will also allow Q/A from the attendees on the different topics presented.
Objectives
By the end of the symposium, participants will be able to:
Describe the evolving genomic and epigenomic landscape of pediatric acute leukemia and its implications for diagnosis, classification, and risk stratification
Discuss the integration of emerging molecular technologies, including long-read sequencing, nanopore sequencing, and DNA methylation profiling into clinical leukemia diagnostics.
Evaluate the impact of immunotherapy, targeted therapy, measurable residual disease (MRD), and transplantation strategies on treatment outcomes in pediatric leukemia.
Identify evidence-based approaches to supportive care, survivorship, and long-term follow-up that improve quality of life and outcomes for childhood leukemia survivors.
